VIDEO: Audi S1 rallycross

Rallycross is taking the motor sport world by storm.

It's short, action-packed races are perfect for the fleeting attention spans of today's youth, and cars themselves look insane, with massive bodywork bulges and wild aero kits.

That's because they are insane. Take this Audi S1, driven by one of the world's most versatile and talented drivers, Mattias Ekstrom.

It packs 433kW and 854Nm into that tiny bodyshell, enough to 0-100km/h in a Bugatti Veyron-matching 2.5sec. And it'll do it on tarmac, gravel, mud - any surface you care to name.

It's the most fearsome Audi creation since the Group B days, so it's only right that Ekstrom handed the keys to legendary rally driver, Walter Rohrl, for a few hot laps.
