Mazda has confirmed the global launch of its much-anticipated, all-new Mazda6 sedan for next month's Moscow International Automobile Salon (August 29 – September 9, 2012).
A clear reflection of the company's 'Takeri' concept car, shown at last year's Tokyo Motor Show, the sleek flagship model conforms to the Japanese maker's 'KODO-Soul of Motion' design theme, already seen on the compact CX-5 SUV.
Known as the Atenza in Japan, the fresh front-wheel drive, mid-sizer features Mazda's brake energy regeneration tech, i-ELOOP, which uses fast-charge/discharge capacitors, rather than batteries, to store energy for use in the car’s various electrical systems.
The Moscow show car is a Russian specification sedan equipped with a direct-injection, 2.0-litre four cylinder petrol engine and six-speed auto transmission.
