Mazda MX-5 buyers will need more dough to buy the Retractable Fastback (RF) flagship version which lands locally in February for $38,550 before on-roads.
The Mazda MX-5 RF is available only with a 2.0-litre engine, although it joins its soft-top sibling by being offered in base manual ($38,550) or automatic ($40,550), and GT manual ($43,890) or automatic ($45,890) model grades.

If Mazda builds production versions, expect to see them later in the MX-5’s lifecycle.
