Originally launched in Australia back in 1986, the Nissan Navara ute has been a long-standing favourite with the Australian market.
In more recent years, Nissan released the D22 Navara, then D40 Navara, and finally the NP300 platform we have today, which is simply referred to as Nissan Navara.

About the Nissan Navara
Originally launched in Australia back in 1986, the Nissan Navara ute has been a long-standing favourite with the Australian market.
In more recent years, Nissan released the D22 Navara, then D40 Navara, and finally the NP300 platform we have today, which is simply referred to as Nissan Navara.
The Nissan Navara in this guise has been with us since 2015, however there have been several refinements and updates made along the way. These include suspension upgrades – namely longer and stiffer rear springs and re-designed dampers – to improve the ute’s laden/unladen ride.
Available in 2×4 and 4×4, the Navara is a rare ute that features coil springs in the rear end depending on which variant you select.
While not class leading in power output, the Navara’s 2.3L twin-turbo diesel engine is well matched to a 7-speed automatic gearbox.
More recently, the Pro-4X has been installed as the flagship of the regular Navara range. A hardcore Pro-4X Warrior variant has also been developed in conjunction with Australian company Premcar.
A raft of rivals includes the Ford Ranger, Isuzu D-Max, Mazda BT-50, Mitsubishi Triton, and Toyota HiLux.
