I’m looking for something good looking, that drives well and which will occasionally have to carry four people. I’ve whittled it back to the Audi S7 and Porsche Taycan. What’s the smart call here for $170K? – Trevor M
These are two very different vehicles, but both will fulfil the requirements brilliantly.
If you’ve come down to these two vehicles, we take it that you’re largely drivetrain agnostic. Much will depend on the level of involvement you’re prepared to indulge in.
The Audi is an easy thing to deal with and, for most situations, would be our recommendation. It’s a faster fire-and-forget sort of proposition.
The Taycan has far more of an X-factor and if you want something that really creates some wow factor, it’s streets ahead of the dependable but ever so slightly dour Audi.
So there’s your answer. Choose the Audi unless your heart really can’t resist the exotic siren call of the Porsche. – AE
