The Mitsubishi Pajero Sport has a received a mild upgrade that brings additional safety and convenience, subtle aesthetic changes and a new five-seat variant.
The Pajero Sport range grows from three to four variants, with the GLS five-seat bridging the gap between the entry-level GLX five-seat and GLS seven-seat.
Until now the entry-level GLX was the only version available with five seats and the new variant gives buyers an opportunity upgrade to the GLS spec for around $4000 cheaper than the three-row version.
The 2018 upgrade also introduces automatic emergency braking, which Mitsubishi calls Forward Collision Mitigation, while Adaptive Cruise Control also becomes standard across the range.
Cosmetic changes include new 18-inch alloy wheels on the GLX, while the range-topping Exceed gains a tailgate spoiler as standard.
Inside, all variants feature a new soft trim along the console sides, two USB ports for second row occupants next to a 12-volt power socket.
Each variant also gains illuminated driver and passenger vanity mirrors.
All Mitsubishi Pajero Sport variants are powered by a 133kW/430Nm 2.5-litre turbo diesel engine coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive, which is unchanged for the range refresh.
