In a style similar to Art Attack host Neil Buchanan, Aston Martin has used offcuts of leather from its upholstery department to make a giant mural depicting a Vanquish, and caught the whole thing on video.
The leftover material is often recycled into small brand-themed accessories and merchandise, but some waste pieces aren’t suitable for that. So what do you do with them?
Starting with a white canvas on the atrium floor at Aston Martin’s head office, a crew of artists spent a day turning a mountain of scraps, in four different colours, into an all-leather Vanquish representation.
Aston Martin hasn’t said what it plans to do with the artwork, but hopefully it’s framed and displayed somewhere. Whatever the case, we’re sure Neil would be proud.
