Is there anything more Aussie than a Kombi at the beach? An amazing amount of people have a tale of a lazy Saturday arvo down at the local break, enjoying life in the way only a Kombi could provide.
We popped along to the annual Manly Kombi Rally on Sydney's northern beaches, and the sight of 60-odd Kombis lined up on the foreshore of one of Australia's premier surfing spots was a sight to behold.
People from all walks of life were enamoured with the vans, which ranged in age from the early 1960s, all the way through to the modern day Volkswagen Multivan.
Many of the owners on the rally were regulars on the scene, an only too happy to show off their pride and joy to a large - and largely appreciative - audience on the Manly foreshore.
From beautifully restored T3 campers to rat rod utes, South African versions and even Trakka campers, the rally had something for everyone.
Here are some of our most popular Kombi pieces from the last couple of years.
