In the lead-up to the reveal of the new XE sedan, Jaguar gathered a trio of experts to judge the 10 best cars the British marque have ever built. The models were then presented as part of the XE’s unveiling at Earls Court, London.
The expert trio in question were creator of the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Lord March, Jaguar’s Director of Design, Ian Callum, and AC/DC lead singer and car fanatic Brian Johnson.
Their ‘Perfect 10’ from Jaguar’s back catalogue were as follows:
1. 1936 SS100
2. 1948 XK120
3. 1951 C-Type
4. 1955 D-Type
5. 1959 Jaguar Mark II
6. 1961 E-Type 3.8
7. 1966 XJ13
8. 1967 XJ6
9. 1984 XJS TWR
10. 1988 XJR9
