Ford and Wheels Magazine – Australia's oldest and most trusted motoring title – have enjoyed a long and colourful history.

While not always the best of friends (take Ford’s reaction to our refusal to grant the XD Falcon Car of the Year for example) there has always been a mutual respect between the two brands.

So now, in light of Ford’s announcement that it will cease manufacturing in Australia, we thought it right to look back at how that relationship has changed since 1953.
