Hyundai has recalled a total of 246 examples of the Ioniq built between 2017 and 2019 due to a potential issue with the vehicle’s fail safe mode.
According to a recall notice published by the Department of Infrastructure, if the system is activated the “EV ready lamp will flash accompanied with reduced acceleration and a loss of motive power.”
The notice also states the issue may also cause unintended acceleration.
