Mercedes-Benz Australia is recalling examples of its GLB SUV because the side spoilers may not have been mounted correctly at the tailgate.
The issue affects 61 GLBs made between 2020 and 2021.
According to the Department for Infrastructure, which issued the notice, a side spoiler may detach from the vehicle whilst it is being driven, and this could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death of other road users.
Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Mercedes-Benz and asked to make arrangements with their nearest authorised dealer to have the work carried out as soon as possible.
A list of VINs is available here.
