2021 Mazda BT-50 under recall

Mazda Australia has recalled its BT-50 ute due to a fault which could result in oil leaking from the transmission.

There are 14 vehicles affected by the notice, which applies to BT-50s built in 2021.

According to the Department for Infrastructure, the transfer case blanking plug may not have been installed correctly during production and could lead to an oil leak from the transmission.

In turn, this could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.
