2021 Volkswagen Polo recalled over sunroof welding fault

Volkswagen Australia is recalling 67 of its Polo hatchbacks as the sunroof could detach and cause an accident.

The issue affects MY21 vehicles only.

Due to a manufacturing issue, the sunroof frame may not have been bonded correctly to the body and could become loose and fall off the vehicle – posing serious risk of serious injury or death to vehicle occupants or other road users.

Owners of affected vehicles can contact their authorised Volkswagen Dealer to schedule an appointment to have the work carried out free of charge.
