Omoda
Another new Chinese brand is on its way to Australia, in the firm of Omoda: a second spin-off brand from Chery, following the recent launch of its Jaecoo marque.
Where Jaecoo is considered a more luxury-focused range, Omoda will represent Chery's ambitions as a "fashion, youth-oriented lifestyle brand".
In the process, Chery's existing Omoda-badged models will revert to a simpler form, with the Omoda 5 and Omoda E5 becoming the Chery C5 (we'll await Citroen's thoughts...) and the Chery E5.
Which new Omoda-only models we'll see in Australia is still to be confirmed.
