The 2023 Mahindra XUV700 has launched as Australia's most affordable seven-seater SUV.
Mahindra's new midsize SUV has arrived two years after its global debut in 2021 and the unibody SUV supersedes the discontinued XUV500 with a bigger footprint and new tech.
Mahindra is offering keen national drive-away pricing, with the entry-level AX7 priced at $36,990.
While overseas markets are offered the option of front- and all-wheel drive, or five- or seven-seats, Australian XUV700s are exclusively offered in petrol front-wheel drive, seven-seat configuration.
The XUV700 is just under 4.7 metres long, competing against models such as the Mitsubishi Outlander, Nissan X-Trail, Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace, Skoda Kodiaq, and the upcoming Honda CR-V.
Pricing
The Mahindra XUV700 adopts a two-pronged range. Both employ the same mechanical package, with the flagship AX7L adding extra luxury and convenience features such as wireless phone charging, 12-speaker Sony stereo, 360-degree camera and more for an extra $3000.
