Drivetrains and Performance
Power, torque and performance varies between the four Macan models.
All Macans are all-wheel drive and feature a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The base Macan and Macan T share a turbocharged four-cylinder that dishes out 195kW and 400Nm.
While the T is quoted with faster acceleration, it comes standard with launch control as part of the Sports Chrono package. This package is available as an option for the entry Macan to match the T's 6.2sec 0-100km/h sprint time.
The Macan S steps up performance with a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 that punches out 280kW and 520Nm, and quoted to complete the 0-100km/h in 4.8 seconds.
Porsche's flagship Macan, the GTS, features an uprated version of the V6, delivering 324kW and 550Nm. The German car maker quotes 4.3 seconds for the GTS's 0-100km/h acceleration.
All engines are mated to Porsche's PDK seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, sending power to all four wheels.
