Someone in the BMW UK press office knows the MOTOR audience well.
With plenty of power, an electronically-locking differential and balanced rear-drive handling, BMW's M cars tend to be natural drifters, and this teaser video shows that the new M2 will be no different.
Full details on the boosted baby Beemer can be found here, but with 272kW/465Nm, a standard six-speed manual gearbox and a raft of M gear for around $100,000 it's set to be one of the most hotly anticipated cars of 2016.
BMW's latest round of M cars are all mightily impressive, but haven't always hit the mark in terms of driver satisfaction. We're optimistic, however, that the new M2 could be the best of the bunch.
