Ford Focus RS Drift Mode fail

There's one in every crowd, that just have to spoil it for everyone.

Drift Mode in the new Ford Focus RS has garnered plenty of negative publicity in Australia and with idiots like this around, maybe the naysayers have a point.

During a cruise held by the New York ST club, one participant decided to prove he is a driving god by drifting a hairpin. Unfortunately, with too much speed and not enough skill, the end result was one very bent Focus RS, all captured on camera. Skip to 0:35 for the incident.

Drift Mode is intended for use at the track and with a bit of space to play with, it's a bit of fun, though largely a gimmick. More importantly, if you want to drive like this, go and visit a skidpan.
