HSV’s modified version of the Holden Colorado ute is here, and HSV has revealed pricing for the SportsCat and top-spec SportsCat+.
At $60,790 before on-roads, the Colorado SportsCat represents a slightly more expensive vehicle than the Colorado it’s based on.
In addition, the “high-series” SportsCat+ is priced at $66,790 plus on-roads, and gets a few optional extras exclusive to that spec.
Neither version scores changes to the Colorado’s 147kW/440Nm 2.8-litre turbo diesel four-pot.
What the SportsCat does gain, aside from its styling changes, is “HSV Sports suspension, a rear de-coupling anti-roll bar, AP Racing brakes, forged 18-inch 6-spoke alloys wrapped in Cooper Sports All-terrain tyres, a wider track and extra ride height.”
Inside, the addition of sports seats appointed in leather and suede is the most obvious change.
For either version, an auto gearbox will set buyers back an extra $2200, as the standard gearbox is manual.
For the SportsCat+, a Sail Plane for the rear window (below) is available for $1300, while a SupaShock suspension kit sells costs $3,600.
Also on the options list, for both models, a tub-liner for $300, Loadmaster tonneau cover for $795, and a $647 roof rack.
“Given the breadth of styling, comfort and engineering enhancements, we’re confident the SportsCat range represents outstanding value,” says Jackson.
“Our two-tier product strategy provides buyers with the flexibility to choose the model that best suits their work and lifestyle requirements.”
Production of the SportsCat has begun in HSV’s new production facility in Clayton, and HSV says enquiries have already picked up regarding the model.
