- Appointments conclude a process to strengthen leadership during business change
Ineos Automotive has appointed Lynn Calder as its new CEO, following years of executive-level contributions to the various arms of the brand.
Ineos says the move “completes a new, strengthened leadership team for Ineos Automotive marking the transition from engineering project to commercial business.”
Calder’s previous roles included time as the CEO of Ineos Composites, and as Commercial Director with Ineos Phenol.
The appointment is joined with Hans-Peter Pessler moving to Ineos Automotive as Chief Operating Officer, having performed executive duties with Magna Steyr – the company that manufactured Mercedes-Benz’ G-Wagon, among other models in the automotive market.
“We’re in the automotive industry for the long haul. The team has done a great job leading the engineering programme and overseeing the set-up of manufacturing. Now, as it goes into full commercial mode, Lynn (Calder) and Hans-Peter (Pessler) will take us forward in the next stage of the company’s development.” Said Ashley Reed, Chairman of Ineos Automotive.
“It’s an exciting time to be taking the reins,” said Calder. “The team and the Grenadier itself have come a long way, and yet we’re still only at the beginning of creating a global automotive business. I love a challenge, and with bold plans for the future, I’m looking forward to the adventure ahead
Orders for the Ineos Grenadier opened in May 2022, with prices starting at $84,500. Those seeking the hard off-roader can configure their Grenadier at the Ineos website.
