If you thought Koenigsegg’s fastest model was its One:1, you’d be wrong. Well, if we’re measuring time in the showroom.
That honour would go to the Agera RS, which Koenigsegg announced it has now sold all 25 units.
That we first saw its Agera RS at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show means it’s taken the Swedish manufacturer 10 months to exhaust the world’s supply of Agera RS. Making the model the fastest selling Koenigsegg, the firm claims.
And while 2.5 sales per month isn’t a hot average by large-scale manufacturer standards, it is in the world of US$1.5m supercars.
Of course, driving demand for the supercar is its outrageous performance, which evolves the from the previous nutty Agera S and R models with a little know-how from the fearsome One:1.
From this, it introduces front winglets, side skirts, and active aerodynamic pieces that range from underneath the car to its spoiler.
Suitably, the Agera RS makes 865kW and 1000Nm, and only needs to nudge 1395kg.
By the time the final car is delivered in 2017 (it takes a while to hand-build each one) the Agera RS will grace Canada, Japan, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, the Middle East, and the United States.
However, there is no mention of a sale in Australia. And if you want to change that, we’re afraid you’ve missed your chance.
