McLaren P1 spotted in Melbourne

The world's hottest hypercars are popping up everywhere in Victoria!

Only days after we posted a story regarding Melbourne's mystery Bugatti Veyron, the good folk at Melbourne Exotic Car Spotting have done it again with a McLaren P1 snapped in action on the Monash Freeway.

Unlike the Bugatti, the P1 is available in right-hand drive so is theoretically less contentious, however to the best of our knowledge the car hasn't been homologated for use in Australia.

Mclaren P1 on Melbourne Roads!

One of our members spotted something a little special on the road in Melbourne.Its amazing that the LaFerrari, Mclaren P1 and Porsche 918 Spyder are all illegal to be driven on Melbourne roads but here we are with all three !!

We're reliably informed that the owner of the Veyron and the P1 are in fact the same person, a car nut who's keen to exercise his amazing collection at every opportunity.

And you know what? Good on them. Dubious legality aside, if we had such machinery parked in our garage we'd want to use it as much as possible, too.

If anyone spots a LaFerrari or Porsche 918 Spyder on Aussie roads, we'll share it as soon as we see it.
