The new-generation 2024 Ford Mustang was originally expected to reach Australia in late 2023.
Then, earlier this year, Ford had good news: The 'S650' Mustang would be here even sooner – possibly early in the third quarter. Well, bad news.

According to a sneaky dealer bulletin posted to community forum mustang7g.com [↗] back in early April, global production delays have seen Australian deliveries pushed out to sometime in the first quarter of 2024 – around 18 months since the new model was unveiled.
Unfortunately for fans, Ford has now confirmed that new timing. In a statement issued to Wheels Media today, the company said: "Production for Australia-bound Mustangs is set to begin by late this year. Due to significant shipping time between the plant in Flat Rock, Michigan and Australia, we expect first arrivals in Q1, 2024."

Pricing, at least, is expected to be announced sometime in the second quarter of 2023, so hopefully buyers will know more soon.
