BELIEVE the headlines prior to this year’s Paris Show and you’d imagine that it was a bit of a disaster.

Big-name manufacturers like Volkswagen, Alfa Romeo, Volvo, Ford, Jeep, Mazda, McLaren, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Subaru, Vauxhall/Opel and Aston Martin had all turned down their invitations to attend.

We expected tumbleweed and a down-at-heel atmosphere at the Expo centre, and while some of the halls felt a little airy, there was plenty going on. Join us as we take a look at the cars, the people and the events that caught our eye as we wore out some shoe leather at the show halls.
