Paving the way in NY

The famous lit strip of Times Square in Manhattan, New York will go car-free in an attempt to reduce emissions and accidents.

The Associated Press says Broadway from 33rd Street to 35th Street and 42nd Street up to 47th Street will be blocked to traffic - not that the cars flow freely on the slow-moving street.

Barricades have already started going up, and plans to turn part of the blocked off area into a mall has started to swing.

Ironically, after the cars are finally blocked, the NYC mayor are planning a giant block party.
