If you or I had just won the Le Mans 24-Hour race, we'd probably pat ourselves on the back and then retire to a beach somewhere for a well-earned vacation.

Not Romain Dumas, though. Having secured victory in the dying minutes of the 2016 French endurance classic, he jumped on a plane, crossed the Atlantic and took his second win in a week at the 2016 Pikes Peak International Hillclimb.

Driving a Norma M20 RD Limited, Dumas scaled the 19.9km course in 8:51.445, the second-fastest run in history behind Sebastien Loeb's incredible 8:13.878 run in 2013.

Behind Dumas were a pair of electric vehicles, Rhys Millen a close second (8:57.118) with Acura's all-electric supercar a further nine seconds back.
