SEMA 2017: 450kW Hennessey VelociRaptor 6X6 revealed

If there was ever a way to make the Ford Raptor more ‘Merican, Hennessey just figured it out; add more of everything.

It’s called the Hennessey VelociRaptor.

This Raptor-with-the-lot scores an extra set of wheels to make it a 6X6, and also gets a power boost courtesy of Hennessey’s experience with tuning hi-po engines.

The VelociRaptor has been bestowed with “more than 600 horsepower,” or 450kW, from its twin-turbo 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6.

Slightly more visible are the 20-inch wheels and off-road tyres, the unique front and rear bumpers, a new roll bar and LED lights. New upgraded suspension also helps manage the extra power and wheels.

All this will set buyers back $349,000 USD, or $455,900 AUD, an additional $22K ($28,700 AUD) is added on top of that price if buyers tick the option box for a set of Brembo brakes.

US buyers will be able to order one from Hennessey directly, or through a Ford dealer, but they’ll need to be quick. Hennessey says only 50 will be built. And good luck getting one onto Australian roads.

Hennessey Performance CEO and founder John Hennessey says the limited-edition vehicle will remain unique (and valuable) due to its low unit count.
