SEMA 2017: 522kW Ford Mustang RTR revealed

This angry-looking Mustang, built by RTR and pro drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr, is more than just a visual upgrade.

The RTR Ford Mustang has “up to 700 horsepower,” or 522kW thanks to a tuning package endorsed by Ford.

They’ll even be available through Ford Dealers in the US.

Available in three levels of tune (the highest being the 522kW version), the RTR mustang comes with the re-worked body parts, lighting and graphics pack which includes the in-grille round lights, plus a new set of wheels designed for this RTR Pony.

An aero pack is also added, which includes front bumper turning vanes.

Inside, there’s also a plaque on the dash which has been signed by Gittin Jr.

As the creator of the RTR, Vaughn Gittin Jr. says the Mustang was already a brilliant vehicle, but he and the RTR team felt compelled to see what else they could do with it.

“The new 2018 Ford Mustang is the most technologically advanced and arguably the best Mustang ever on all fronts,”Gittin says.

“It’s amazing what Ford has been able to accomplish with the 2018 Mustang in terms of performance and overall refinement, but the RTR team and I just couldn’t leave it alone!
