Ford Mustang dyno run goes very wrong

Oh dear, that's not gone well at all.

A seemingly harmless dyno pull for this Ford Mustang goes very wrong when a tyre blowout at maximum revs in fifth gear causes significant damage to the left-hand side bodywork.

The video, filmed by 1320video, also shows the dangers of standing close to active dynos when there is no protection present.

With many mechanical components under significant stress, it pays to remember anything can happen and the camera man, dyno operator and spectators were perhaps fortunate to escape unharmed.

Spare a thought for the unfortunate car owner, too, who had only purchased the car a month prior.
