Hyundai has recalled a total of 208 examples of the 2019 to 2020 Ioniq Electric due to a potential issue with the vehicle’s battery.
According to the recall notice published by the Department of Infrastructure, the battery fitted to the Ioniq EV “does not meet specifications and may lead to an electrical short which could start a fire”.
Hyundai will contact affected owners, but the company can be reached directly by calling 1800 186 306 or visiting a dealership, found here.
