Supply of Hyundai's popular Ioniq 5 is set to increase towards the end of the year, the brand's Australian outpost has confirmed.

Since its arrival on Australian shores last year, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 has been released to the public in batches, so far totalling around 800 units after yesterday's allocation went live with another 119 to be made available on July 20.

At the global launch of its Ioniq 6 sedan sibling in Korea, representitives from Hyundai Australia said they expected Ioniq 5 supply to increase over the coming months, without putting an exact figure on the expected deliveries.

While more cars are set to be released next week, Hyundai has also announced its plans for an additional load to be made available in August, becoming the first back-to-back months where prospective buyers have been able to put in orders.

For customers in the Northern Territory, the increased loads will hopefully mean Top End buyers can put in an order, having missed out on every round since the first allocation was opened.

Next week's batch is set to be made up of the new flagship Techniq grade, announced earlier this week as the replacement of the existing AWD nameplate, while Dynamiq takes over from the cheaper RWD model.

Hyundai hasn't been able to pin down a time for when the Dynamiq can be ordered, also applying to the optional Techniq Vision Roof – which is available as a $1500 extra for the range-topping grade.

Wheels will provide updates when Hyundai announces its upcoming allocations of the Ioniq 5.
