For model-year 2023, the popular Tucson family SUV has gained Hyundai's Bluelink remote connectivity app for the mid-spec Elite and flagship Highlander.

It is the third vehicle in the brand's local range to gain the connected-car technology, joining the facelifted Palisade launched in mid-2022 and the updated Venue announced last week.

Bluelink is complimentary for the first five years, with a subscription cost to follow after this period. It is similar to the Toyota Connected Services functionality available in the RAV4, but that system is only included at no cost for the first 12 months.

It is accompanied by a $500 price rise for Elite and Highlander variants, with no other specification updates for model-year 2023.

The updated 2023 Hyundai Tucson – a rival to the Toyota RAV4, Mazda CX-5, Mitsubishi Outlander and Kia Sportage, amongst others – is on sale now.
