The popular Hyundai Ioniq 5 electric vehicle is going on sale again next week, with just 100 units up for grabs.
It will be the fourth limited-supply lot of Ioniq 5s to go on sale, with Hyundai announcing it will be opening its order books on Wednesday, March 23 at 1pm Australian Eastern Daylight Time.
After the first 240 examples went up for sale in October last year, two more allocations opened up in the following months with NSW and ACT buyers gaining access in December, meanwhile those in Victoria, Queensland, and Western Australia had to wait until January for their second chance.
Hyundai has also confirmed the line-up will be unchanged, with two variants of the Ioniq 5 being available – the single-motor, rear-wheel-drive grade which starts at $71,900, and its flagship dual-motor, all-wheel-drive sibling, starting at $75,900, both of which are before on-road costs.
Next week's allocation will only be available to residents of New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania and the Australian Capital Territory, as those in the Northern Territory miss out until the next round at the earliest.
Demand peaked for the Ioniq 5 in its first allocation last year, with interested customers crashing Hyundai's website before all 240 vehicles eventually sold out in roughly two hours.
