Volkswagen reduces new and used vehicle service pack costs

Volkswagen Australia has cut the price of its service pack across its range of passenger and commercial vehicles.

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles says it has reduced prices in response to increased living costs – especially record fuel prices.

“Our commercial owners have been among the hardest hit with rising fuel prices, while customers of new vehicles have been incredibly patient while we work through some supply constraints – this is our way of helping," said Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles brand director, Ryan Davies.

As a result, all commercial vehicles purchased before June 30, 2022, will get Volkswagen's five-year service pack for the price of a three-year package.

The deal covers the Caddy, Transporter/Multivan, Caravelle, Crafter and Amarok, with some savings of the five-year packs working out to be more than the upfront cost of purchase – as outlined below.

Volkswagen's offer also extend to its passenger vehicle arm, with a complimentary three-year care plan now included when owners finance certain T-Cross and Golf variants with Volkswagen Financial Services.

The T-Cross Life and Style grades are covered by the offer if purchased before June 30, 2022, while the Golf Life and R-Line are given the same benefit with the added bonus of a September 30, 2022, cut-off date.

A complimentary five-year care plan also applies to all variants of the Arteon and Touareg, again under the proviso of the vehicle being purchased and financed by June 30, 2022.

Finally, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and Volkswagen Passenger Vehicles will nearly double the value of their four-year used vehicle care plans for the first 500 and 1000 customers respectively, introducing four services for the price of two until the end of April.

Available to be purchased for Volkswagen models older than four years with more than 60,000 kilometres on the clock and due for their fourth service, the 4Plus care plan now includes two free essential services, covering maintenance such as a oil and filter replacement and a safety and diagnostic check.

The 4Plus offer can be purchased in conjunction with the aforementioned service packs, covering between seven and nine years of servicing in most cases.

"We are thinking of Volkswagen customers now, as well as since purchasing a vehicle several years ago," said Volkswagen Passenger Vehicles brand director, Michal Szaniecki.

“To offer the owner of a Golf or Tiguan which is more than four years-old the next four years of servicing from under $250 per service is another demonstration of how cost efficient it can be to own a Volkswagen.”
